Even though David Archuleta is currently on his two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he left so many goodies to keep us occupied in the meantime. This past week, his music video for "Everybody Hurts" was released. "Everybody Hurts" is off his latest album BEGIN. The heartwarming video even features Archuleta belting out the R.E.M classic alongside an orchestra. He sounds incredible. We miss you David! Watch the music video for "Everybody Hurts" below:

ReplyDeleteThanks for the review! I bought BEGIN CD's for myself, my niece, my 3 sisters, and I gifted one to a fan in Indonesia. David left us so many beautiful things and he told us he left a piece of his heart with us too. I love the video - the acting and production is wonderful and the beautiful in-studio scenes of David singing were filmed on the day before his mission. The video description on Youtube includes a quote from David - "I hope you know that I never wanted to leave you guys without music, and will continue when I get back." We'll be waiting. BTW if anyone is on twitter David is DavidArchie there - his manager has to tweet for him while he's on the mission and she includes bits from David's emails.

ReplyDeleteI've bought BEGIN. for myself and for a number of family members and friends! I love this album! The Everybody Hurts mv is beautiful as it shows different examples of pain and hurt spanning different generations, but that there is hope if we just "hold on." Very heartfelt and relatable, and I love the inclusion of seeing David recording this song (love his vocals) with Kurt Bestor and the orchestra.

I like the video, I love David's vocals and rendition of this song. Every song on BEGIN. showcases David's ability to inhabit a song and sing the heck out of it.
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine bought the CD for me. BEGIN. is one gorgeous CD. David's voice and the way he emotes wraps the wounded soul in tender loving care bringing healing and hope. How does HE do that?! This is a must have CD.
ReplyDeleteThe video for Everybody Hurts is done beautifully! I especially enjoy the scenes of David recording. Also love the fact that included are situations that most everybody can relate to in our world today. I am sharing this album with friends, hoping they will love it as much as I do.
